porch ablaze

The 39-year-old old mother of four children, aged between 12 and 20, was asleep at her home in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah when a burning smell woke her up at about 3am on Friday.

She managed to put out the fire but it had caused minor damage to the porch. “My Toyota Avanza also caught fire but no serious damage was done. “I feel scared for my family after this incident,” she said at a press conference organised by Gelang Patah MP Tan Ah Eng yesterday. Wong said her husband had owed Ah Long about RM100,000. The husband, however, fled a year ago and cut off all contact with the family. “The loan was under his name and now he has left us with all the burden.

“I am not earning any income and depend on three of my children who are working,” she said.
