a bank officer who was repeatedly stabbed in the chest by a robber, managed to call his brother for help before he died in hospital a few hours later.
Tan Chun Kee, 25, was attacked by the robber at a deserted alley near Jalan Nipah, off Jalan Ampang, at around 7pm on Friday. He was on his way to meet his brother nearby.
Tan called his brother, saying he had been robbed and stabbed.
His 28-year-old brother rushed to the scene and took him to a private hospital from where he was transferred to the Kuala Lumpur Hospi tal.
However, Tan succumbed to his injuries at about 2am.
Cheras police deputy chief Supt Abdul Rahim Hamzah Othman said the brother reported that a bag containing a cheque book and several important documents as well as a wallet were stolen.
