P. Subramaniam, 43, who owns a tow truck business, was having tea at a stall outside his office in Jalan Prima 2 at 5.40pm when two men wearing full-faced helmets approached him.
One of them whipped out a pistol and shot him before fleeing.
Subramaniam was hit in the abdomen and hand.
Another man at the stall was hit in the leg while an Indonesian woman nearby was grazed by a bullet.
Subramaniam and the man were rushed to the Selayang Hospital while the woman received outpatient treatment. Both men were in stable condition.
