Clerk raped for refusing to give PIN to robbers
AMPANG: A clerk was raped by two masked robbers in her home in Taman Putra Sulaiman here after she refused to give them the personal identification number (PIN) code of her automated teller machine card.
The robbers had broken into the victim's home on Thursday afternoon. Armed with a knife, they threatened her and ordered her to hand over all her valuables.
"Both men covered their faces with a T-shirt and the victim was unable to identify them. "One of the robbers watched over her while the other ransacked the room," a police source said. "The robbers took several hundred ringgit, a mobile phone, an iPod, camera and several other personal belongings. Not satisfied, they demanded her ATM code."
Despite being threatened, the victim refused to give the robbers the PIN code. The robbers then raped her before fleeing the house. The victim called for help and was sent to the Ampang Hospital for a medical examination and counselling.
It is understood that the police forensic team found several sets of fingerprints at the scene, together with semen stains and body hair. They have been sent to the Chemistry Department for analysis.
