Couple and son injured in hit-and-run

KUCHING: A couple and their young son suffered physical injuries in a hit-and-run accident last Sunday in Lundu.

The 35-year-old and his wife, 21, were on their way back home after bringing their two-year-old son to see a doctor when the accident happened at about 2pm.

It was said that, a van from the opposite direction suddenly steered to the motorcycle lane and hit their motorcycle.

They fell into a drain after being hit.

The van however did not stop but sped away.

The motorcyclist was said to suffer bone fractures on his right arm and right leg.

It was also believed that there was a passer-by who had witnessed the accident.

The three victims were later sent to Lundu Hospital by concerned members of public.

They were then being referred to Sarawak General Hospital last Sunday night to receive further treatment.
