Fake coins seized

KAJANG: Police came across their first case of counterfeit coins this year when they arrested four men and seized 35 bags of fake 50 sen coins amounting to RM17,500.
The four had been on their way to deliver the coins to a customer when they were stopped by a police patrol team in Semenyih.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Sakaruddin Che Mood said the policemen became suspicious of the behaviour of the men inside the Proton Wira.
He said two of the men had previous drug convictions, adding that more arrests were expected soon.
It is learnt the four had been operating for the past year and could have raked in millions of ringgit by now.
