House break in in ss14 during Chinese new year

Chinese new year first day, 4am in the morning , a theif came in the house from the backyard, and cut a thick metal rod grill with a cutter and bend the other end to enter the window,he menaged to squeeze through the SMALL gap and come in the house, my alarm system rang and informed us about the robber in the house.. we were outstation, we rang the police and they looked into the house from the front door but did not see anything suspicious, and told us they didnt see anything, they did not go to the backyard to check what happened behind. only to find out that the window has been broken into.

Lucky and thankfully no losses, as the theif might have been panic and ran out the window when he heard my alarm system.

we reported the case to the police and the police man who handled the case told us that the theif is small in size and able to squeeze thought small windows
