I am posting on behalf of a reader of Malaysia Crime and also a recent victim of a crime. Here's the verbatim post:
I read your article in the NEW SUNDAY TIMES Nov 29 when recovering in hospital. On Thusday 26 November 2009 at 21.30 I was attacked on the way home by two men on a motor cycle who attempted to steel my things. Consequently I was slashed three times on the left arm and once on the collar bone with a knife and kitchen chopper losing two litres of blood and spending three days in hospital. Luckily I was only 300 metres from the nearest clinic where I received emergency treatment to reduce the blood loss before going to hospital.Fortunately although cutting to the bone they missed the nerves and I can still use my fingers although it will be some time to gain full use of the arm. I reported the incident to the Police and also gave them one of found one of the knifes left at the scene but have stiil heard nothing and therefore have little faith in the culprits being caught.
This is the second time in the same place within a year that I have been threatened but the first time no violence was used only a botched attempted robbery. The place is in Wangsa Maju section 2 between the LRT station and my apartment block
I have since been told that there have been many robberies from many students who are attending Tar college and live in the same area as me.

My neighbour's son was attacked by snatch thieve many years back. He is now cant even move and speak well cos his head was attacked with hard object when they trying to snatch away his laptop. .. The law should change to "rotan" and life jail for this kind of cruel creator.
Hi, is it because you trying to fight back that caused the serious wound?..feel so sorry for the incident especially for those who are not local.
Seems like snatch cases use to happen in that area, hope more people share their bad experience in MC to create awareness to others. hmm...
