Man drinks acid after raping stepdaughter
A MAN suspected of raping his stepdaughter killed himself by drinking acid but not before stabbing and splashing acid on her, Harian Metro reported.
The man, in his 50s, was believed to have done so at about 10am on Sunday to avoid being caught by villagers.
He had earlier brought his 15-year-old stepdaughter to a rubber estate in Kampung Aring Enam, Gua Musang after telling the girl that they were going to town.
He was believed to have raped the girl and her screams were heard by several villagers nearby.
Acting OCPD Deputy Supt Aziz Hassan said the man, who was shocked to see the villagers, then stabbed his stepdaughter with a knife and splashed acid on her.
“He then drank the acid and was found dead not far from the scene,” he said.
The seriously injured stepdaughter was sent to a district health clinic but was later transferred to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab Dua in Kota Baru where she remained in critical condition.
