Man killed trying to evade snatch thieves

A man died trying to evade two snatch thieves in Taman Maluri, Cheras yesterday.

According to theSun (Dec 8, 2009)Abdul Rahman Mohd Kaladdin, 34, who was riding his motorcycle, was killed on the spot and his wife, who was riding pillion, suffered serious injuries when they crashed trying to get away from the thieves.

The couple was travelling on Jalan Jengka towards Pandan Jaya when the thieves, who were also on a motorcycle, began trailing them.

Witnesses told police they saw one of the snatch thieves, who was riding pillion, trying to grab the handbag which Abdul rahman's wife was holding.

On noticing this, Abdul Rahman were believed to have swerved his motorcyle but lost control of the machine. He crashed into the wall of a house on Jalan Pekasa 2. The snatch thieves sped off without getting the bag.
