Photo camera on tripod snatched by motorbike thieves

A professional photo camera (Canon EOS 5D Mark II) mounted on a heavy, professional tripod (Manfrotto) right in front of Petronas Towers was snatched by two guys on a motorbike. Even the fact that small police booth is just 10 meters away didn't help. Plenty of CCTV didn't scare the thieves either. This particular lane of Jalan Ampang is always free in the evening making it a perfect way out for thieves. Also, this place is popular among tourists for taking shots of Petronas Towers, therefore making it a popular snatch spot. Take extra care when walking around Jalan Ampang in KLCC - thieves operate on daily basis, patrolling around.
