Rape suspects tied up and assaulted

A VILLAGE head and six villagers tied four teenage boys who were alleged to have raped an underage girl to a tree and beat them with sticks and rotan, reported China Press.

The incident that took place in Sungai Choh, Rawang, involving teenagers aged 13 and 14 who, it was claimed, had lured the girl to a rubber estate nearby before sexually assaulting her.

One of the boys kept watch while another filmed the crime with his mobile phone.

Their act was uncovered when the girl complained to her family members, who later alerted the village head.

The village head summoned six other villagers on April 21 and rounded up the four boys who were brought to the same rubber estate and severely beaten up.

However, police arrived to rescue the boys.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Norel Azmi Affandi Yahya said the village head and his comrades, aged between 22 and 62, as well as the four boys were arrested.
