NIBONG TEBAL, Sat: Five masked men, armed with a pistol and hammer, struck at a goldsmith shop in Pekan Sungai Bakap here today, and escaped with jewellery worth RM500,000.
Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Supt Shafien Mamat said that in the 10.10am hold-up, one of the robbers smashed a glass display cabinet and took away 13 trays of jewellery. He said the robbers escaped in two cars. - BERNAMA
