KUANTAN, Tues: Five patients, who were waiting to see a doctor at a private clinic on Jalan Beserah, here, were robbed by six men armed with a machete.
Pahang Crime Investigation Department deputy chief Supt Nordin Mustapha said the incident happened about 2pm yesterday when a man, wearing a skull cap, entered the clinic and approached the counter on the pretext of buying medicine.
"After that, three others went into the clinic while another two stood guard at the door. "The robbers, one of them armed with a machete, stripped the patients of their jewellery and also took their cellphones," he told reporters here today. Nordin said the management of the clinic had lodged a report on the incident, but the victims had yet to do so.
He hoped the victims would lodge reports on the incident to assist police investigations into the case. He said police were looking for the suspects, who were in their 20s and 30s. -- BERNAMA
