Student raped on first date

BESUT: A teenager's first date turned into a nightmare when she was gang-raped by three youths on Sunday.

The victim from Kampung Kayu Kelat, Jertih was earlier picked up from her home by her boyfriend at 5.30pm and taken to an oil palm estate near the La Hot Spring recreational park. There they were met by two other teenagers, who took turns raping the Form Four student before taking her home at 10pm.

The victim related the incident to her mother before lodging a report at the Pasir Akar police station the following day. She was then taken to the Besut Hospital for a medical examination.

Following the report, three 19-year-old suspects were picked up at their homes in Kampung Nibong, Hulu Terengganu.
