Suspect detained in bid to break into house

KUCHING: A suspect was detained for trying to break into a house at Sri Harmoni housing area in 8th Mile Matang.

It was believed two men were trying to enter the house from the roof top when he was spotted by an alert neighbour about 8am yesterday.

The neighbour immediately made a police report and gathered other neighbours to help.

Police reached the scene on time and caught one of the suspects.

Another man outside the house quickly fled when he sensed that their presence were discovered by the neighbours.

At the same time the house owner arrived after being informed by the neighbour. She did not find anything missing after checking her house and nothing was found on the suspect who was caught.

She then lodged a police report and the police are looking for the other suspect.
