Suspects killed in shootout with cops

Two men have been killed after a shootout with the police in Jalan Ampang near the Ampang LRT station.
In yesterday’s 10.30pm incident, policemen spotted two suspicious men in a car and decided to follow them.
One of the suspects started shooting when the policemen signalled them to stop after two kilometres, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Amiruddin Jamaluddin said.
Both men, aged 24 and 26, were killed in the incident.
ACP Amiruddin declined to provide more details on the men.
He added that one of the two suspects had a criminal record.
Both bodies have been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
