We’ve to sleep with boss to get our salary, claim Indonesian women
IPOH: It has been two years of hell for three Indonesian women since they began working for the owner of a catering company in Sungai Siput.
The women claimed that their 43-year-old employer would not pay them their RM400 monthly salary unless they have sex with him.
They added that the man would beat and punch them in the face or choke them if they refused. Unable to endure the abuse any longer, they sought a neighbour’s help and fled the house at 5am yesterday.
“I have been molested, threatened with a knife, and beaten until my face, eyes and body are swollen,” one of the women, a 26-year-old, told reporters after lodging a report at the Buntong police station that her employer raped her last Friday.
“I came to Malaysia to earn money for my husband and child in Surabaya. Now I just want to go home. I can’t take it any more.” Her two friends, both 23, said they ran away because they, too, could not take the abuse anymore. The three said the abuse took place at the man’s house in front of his docile wife and three children.
“We cannot go anywhere because he has our passports. He told me that if I wanted my salary, I had to sleep with him,” said one of the 23-year-olds, who had a bruised eye. Buntong assemblyman A. Siva subramaniam, who is assisting the women, said the man was even known to terrorise his wife. He urged the police to investigate the complaints of torture, assault and violation of human rights.
Sungai Siput deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mak Pak Chuai said police had sent the women for a medical check-up at the hospital.
I cant believe the wife did nothing on his act. He is no different as a rapist.
