KUALA LUMPUR: A wiring supervisor was killed yesterday when an Indonesian plasterer slit his throat following an argument at a construction site in Mont Kiara on Wednesday.
Deputy city Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Khairy Ahrasa said See Chew Hwa, 39, of Puchong Jaya in Selangor, was attacked on the third floor of a car park under construction at 4.30pm.
The car park is for a luxury condominium project.
Khairy said See and an Indonesian who had started work at the site three weeks ago had gotten into an argument at 2pm over a work-related issue. The foreigner, he said, fled after slitting See's throat with a kerambit (small curved knife). See bled to death at the site.
"We have detained an Indonesian worker who allegedly witnessed the attack in order to facilitate investigations," said Khairy.
